Two houses in Hillcroft Crescent, Ealing
Supporting contemporary construction in conservation areas, particularly gap-fill or in sensitive locations, requires careful consideration and justification. Mark was asked to support a proposal for 2 two storey houses in a rear garden site within the Ealing Cricket Ground Conservation Area. It also abounded the Mount Park Conservation Area.
Red and White Design designed a scheme of a contemporary nature but it needed careful justification to ensure the proposals preserved or enhanced both conservation areas. Mark was able to substantiate that the proposal maintaining the special interest of the areas as well as adding vibrancy to the streetscene.
